Honey
Honey / F / 11Y / 12lbs / Chihuahua mix / Fostered in Owen Sound
Honey is described as affectionate, curious and doesn't want to miss out on anything. She is a velcro dog and always wants to be with her people. She loves snacks, walks and cuddling up beside her person. She also enjoys lounging in the sun! She does not enjoy the winter weather. Her foster says her favourite thing about her is how much she wants to be included in all activities and has major FOMO.
Honey is working on her house training but is doing well with frequent trips outside. She enjoys spending time in her crate with the door open. She walks well on leash and loves adventures. She isn't reactive to people or other dogs. She is medium/low energy. She has shown no guarding behaviours but does have some separation anxiety. This has been improving though as she settles in. Honey has cataracts but it doesn't affect her ability to get around. She has a very low grade heart murmur and will likely need a dental in the next 1-2 years.
Honey can be a bit shy when meeting new people but quickly warms up, especially if offered treats. She gets along well with other dogs, cats and respectful children. Her ideal home is a family who has someone home often to keep her company. She would be best in a house as she will bark when left alone (she does settle).
